Michael Danner artistic work has now its own web presence at dannerprojects.com. Born in Reutlingen (Germany) in 1967, he now lives in Berlin. He studied photography at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld (D) and the University of Brighton (UK) and subsequently lived in London from 1997 to 2000. Among his works we have introduced before the series “Birds” developed in collaboration with Vanessa Karré.
Hereby we post few photographs from his series “entsorgt/disposed - Nuclear Power in Germany 2008-2011”. The Berlin-based photographer has in recent years documented comprehensively all German Nuclear plants, such as control centers, control areas, safety zones, containment, etc. In short, the technical and physical security, standards that keep the radioactive processes under control. The composition of the images is so rigorous that the observer stands to lose the line between reality and fiction.
