THOMAS HEIN / Me Me Me is a playful take on photography and self portraiture. By placing himself in photographs that have been collected from Flickr, Tomas Hein intends to play with the meaning that these images have out of their vernacular context. The photographs are have not been cropped or resized but only the blurry figure of the photographer has been added as a form of appropriation through a narcissistic act. A zine of the project is also available for purchase in a numbered edition of 50.
CHRIS MOTTALINI / Ten prints from the series of now-demolished homes by the controversial Modernist Paul Rudolph will be shown at the Contact Photo Festival in Toronto (May 5-22). Chris Mottalini is a photographer from the great town of Buffalo, NY shooting modernist architecture, structures, interiors, rocks, Viking dwellings, etc. We have featured before his series Mistake by the lake.
